All children in KS2 are entitled to free school meals this academic year.
If you are currently in receipt of benefits or you believe that you may be classed as a low-income family, you can check if your child would be eligible to receive pupil premium. This is additional funding that the school will receive to support your child to reach their full academic potential. This could be used to fund an after school club, school trips (including the Year 6 residential trip which is paid for in Y5) violin lessons or music exams. To check if your child is eligible, please follow the instructions below or contact the office. The process takes less than two minutes and does not require any of your financial details. There are no difficult forms to fill in and no information about your income/benefits is ever given to the school.
Whether you would like your child to have a free school meal or bring in their own packed lunch from home does not make any difference to the school receiving the additional pupil premium funding to benefit your child. Therefore, we ask that any parent from a low-income family (or who thinks they may be eligible) checks using the website, as soon as possible, as pupil premium funding cannot be backdated.
