All children in KS2 are entitled to free school meals this academic year.

If you are currently in receipt of benefits or you believe that you may be classed as a low-income family, you can check if your child would be eligible to receive pupil premium. This is additional funding that the school will receive to support your child to reach their full academic potential. This could be used to fund one after school club and school trips (including the Year 6 residential trip which is paid for in Y5).  To check if your child is eligible, please follow the instructions below or contact the office. The process takes less than two minutes and does not require any of your financial details. There are no difficult forms to fill in and no information about your income/benefits is ever given to the school. 

Whether you would like your child to have a free school meal or bring in their own packed lunch from home does not make any difference to the school receiving the additional pupil premium funding to benefit your child.  Therefore, we ask that any parent from a low-income family (or who thinks they may be eligible) checks using the website, as soon as possible, as pupil premium funding cannot be backdated. 

Instructions for how to check if you are eligible

• Go to https://pps.lgfl.org.uk/  Select CHECK ELIBIGILITY then on the next page click PROCEED (you do not need to create an account) then select BRENT and OUR LADY OF GRACE JUNIORS

• On the next page it will say OVERVIEW – scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the box to say that you have read the privacy notice

• On the next page enter your first and last names and your national insurance number (or National Asylum Seeker Service number)

• If your child/children are eligible for free school meals, a certificate will be generated that you can print off and send in or email it to the office.  Mrs O’Carroll or Mrs James will then help you with the straightforward form that needs to be signed.

If you do not have access to the internet, we can do the check at school with you.
