Our Mission

Our Lady of Grace: Love Opportunity and Growth, Always through Christ

Our Lady of Grace Catholic Junior School is situated in Dollis Hill, North London, and it has a proud history of serving the Catholic community of this area for nearly sixty years. Our mission statement outlines our core belief: here in this school, children receive every Opportunity to succeed in their Growth whilst living in Love. This is always achieved through the love and salvation of Christ our Lord.

Our school was established by the parishioners of the Church of St Mary and St Andrew who wanted to ensure their children were educated in the faith. The school's population soon became too big for the site Our Lady of Grace Junior School now sits on. So, the school was expanded to our Infant School which is located at the bottom of Dollis Hill.

Our mission is to ensure that all children attain the highest possible standards in reading, writing and mathematics, as well as having access to a rich wider curriculum. We believe that this will equip them to live as citizens in the 21st century achieving all that God has planned for them whilst living the Paschal mystery. This is our Catholic faith through which we teach, learn and live. It is the core of our community and is distinctive to our school.

Please see our policies below on how we achieve our mission to become Catholics ready to change the world:

Our House Saints

Here at Our Lady of Grace Junior School, we work really hard to demonstrate how we live our mission: love opportunity, growth, always through Christ. This is exemplified for us through the lives of saints. Therefore we have chosen to organise our school in a way that affiliates each pupil with a special saint.

All pupils are in House Teams and can earn House Points for working and behaving to the best of our ability. These points are in a running total on the website's home page. Rewards for the greatest number of points are given at the end of each term. For some school events, such as Sports Day, we compete in our House Teams.

Our House Saints represent the diversity in our school community and are linked to our Parish. Our House Saints are St. Mary, St. Andrew, St. Cecilia, St Bernadette and St. Martin of Porres.
